If you like to help, you can get this unfinished shortcut here. There is something that I haven’t figured out. This shortcut will use Spotify API to get the recently played music and resume the playback. When I am done, I should be able to trigger Spotify music on my Alexa Eco Dot and Google Homepod. I am also working on a new shortcut to resume Spotify track on any available devices. That’s how you set up the Shortcuts app to play Spotify track automatically. Tap Next and toggle off the option “Ask Before Running”. Tap on Shortcut to select the Play Certain Spotify Track shortcut. Click Add Action to add the action Run Shortcut. Select the Time of Day trigger or another event trigger.
After that, click on the Automation tab at the button and create a new personal automation. You can leave it as default to play my favorite song.
While importing the shortcut, it will ask you to input the URL to Spotify track that you want to play. You may also need to go to Settings to enable Allow Untrusted Shortcuts before you can import any shortcuts outside of the Gallery. Open this link in Safari to get this shortcut.
